The Rince Na Sonas School of Irish Dance was founded to give students the opportunity to learn traditional Irish Step dancing while forming life-long friendships. The name of the school means “dance of happiness”, chosen because it is our hope that dancing brings happiness to both our students and our audiences. It is our goal to help each dancer to achieve his/her own potential. We are small by choice, to allow us to provide individual attention to each dancer. We encourage dancers development in a number of areas, including physical (balance, coordination, stamina), cognitive (remembering dances, steps, spatial orientation), cultural, and social (teamwork, supporting others). We strive for our dance school to have a community environment, with each dancer, family and instructor contributing to the environment and supporting one another.
